We are seeking an IT Software Programmer - Python local to Salt Lake City, UT. Summary: This candidate will review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs. This may encompass desktop applications, interfaces, web applications, stored procedures, or other software artifacts depending on specific job responsibilities.
- High School diploma/GED with two years of relevant work experience; Or Associate's degree with one year of relevant work experience; Or Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Required: 3-5 years of experience
- Experience with basic Linux server administration tasks, including bash scripting, Docker deployment, and Apache web server installation/management
- Interest in data science and working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
- Team player with a willingness to experiment with new technologies
Preferred:
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), particularly S3, Glacier, EC2, and IAM permissions
- Knowledge of cluster computing (HPC, Batch Computing, Scientific Computing)
- Basic understanding of data analysis and modeling algorithms, such as data
binning/clustering, regression, and machine learning - Moderate proficiency with Python, including package management, conda virtual
environments, and decorators
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
